Glycine decarboxylase in plants is a multi enzyme complex. It is generally composed of 4 proteins, a 100 KD P-protein, a 14 KD H-protein, a 45 KD T-protein, and a 59 KD L-protein [Walker86].

Enzymatic reaction of: glycine decarboxylase
Synonyms: GDCglycine + a tetrahydrofolate + NAD+ → a 5,10-methylene-tetrahydrofolate + ammonium + CO2 + NADH
