Species: Nicotiana tabacum

The enzyme activity of NMN nucleosidase (synonym NMN glycohydrolase - NMN-Ghase) has been detected in roots [Wagner86a] and induced callus cultures of Nicotiana tabacum [Wagner86]. The partially purified NMN-Ghase from tobacco catalyzed the formation of nicotinamide through hydrolysis of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) with high efficiency [Wagner86b].
