Summary:
The Php protein is similar to phosphotriesterase from Pseudomonas diminuta, but unlike that enzyme, it does not catalyze the hydrolysis of nonspecific phosphotriesters. Its physiological function is unknown [Buchbinder98].

Php is a monomer in solution. A crystal structure has been solved at 1.7 Å resolution. The structure, an α/β barrel, is similar to that of phosphotriesterase and contains a binuclear zinc center at the presumed active site [Buchbinder98].
