Summary:
VboR is, based on sequence analysis, a lipoprotein in Escherichia coli [Brokx04]. Transcription profile analysis has shown that VboR responds in a PhoP/PhoQ two-component system-dependent manner to the availability of external Mg2+ and has been, therefore, characterized as a member of the Mg2+ stimulon [Minagawa03].
