Escherichia coli K-12 substr. MG1655 Polypeptide: predicted membrane fusion protein (MFP) component of efflux pump, signal anchor

Gene: yiaV Accession Numbers: EG12290 (EcoCyc), b3586, ECK3575

Regulation Summary Diagram: ?

Summary:
YiaV is an inner membrane protein with two predicted transmembrane domains. The C terminus is located in the periplasm [Daley05].

A transposon insertion in the yiaW-aldB intergenic region has higher tolerance to kanamycin, while a mutant lacking that region is more sensitive to kanamycin than wild type. A yiaV deletion has no effect on kanamycin sensitivity [Hu05].

Locations: inner membrane

Map Position: [3,750,986 <- 3,752,122] (80.85 centisomes)
Length: 1137 bp / 378 aa
